INTERESTING INFO

Being a Soldier is more than playing basketball—it's a way of life. A Soldier is disciplined, fearless, coachable, and committed to becoming the best version of themselves every day. Soldiers lead by example, embrace hard work, put the team before themselves, and never back down from a challenge. They understand that character is built through adversity, respect is earned through action, and true victory is measured by who they become—not just by the games they win.

Breanna Hayden

Head  Coach

Breanna "Bre-Bre" Hayden is an accomplished coach, former collegiate athlete, and passionate mentor dedicated to developing young people through the game of basketball. As the Head Coach of the G.I. Soldiers, she is committed to building athletes of character by instilling discipline, accountability, confidence, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

Coach Hayden first established herself as one of Texas' premier high school basketball players at James Madison High School in Dallas, where she helped lead the program to two Area Championships. During her senior season, she averaged an outstanding 30.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 7.0 steals, and 3.0 blocks per game, earning District 12-3A Most Valuable Player honors.

Her exceptional high school career earned her selections to both the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) All-Star Game and the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) All-Star Game, where she was named Most Valuable Player. She was also recognized as the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) Class 1A–3A Player of the Year, one of the highest individual honors awarded to a high school basketball player in Texas.

Following her standout high school career, Coach Hayden continued her basketball journey at Baylor University, where she competed at the collegiate level and further developed the leadership, work ethic, and competitive mindset that now define her coaching philosophy.

Today, Coach Hayden is passionate about helping young athletes reach their full potential both on and off the court. She believes basketball is a powerful vehicle for teaching life lessons that extend far beyond the game.

Through mentorship, skill development, and a commitment to excellence, she strives to prepare every player to succeed not only as an athlete, but also as a confident leader in the classroom, at home, and within the community.
